Connect beyond the conference hall
At the CRU Ferroalloys Connection Summit, we know that the most valuable connections and lasting partnerships are often built outside of formal meetings. The conversations that happen on the golf course, over a coffee, or at an evening reception are just as critical as the ones in the conference hall.
That’s why we’ve built an extensive social programme designed to help you build the strong, authentic relationships that drive your business forward. From friendly competition to relaxed receptions, your agenda is packed with opportunities to connect with the industry’s most senior players.
The CRU Annual Golf Tournament
A cornerstone of the Summit experience, our annual golf tournament is the perfect way to kick off your time in Fort Lauderdale. Held on Sunday, 25 October, this is a can't-miss opportunity to spend quality, uninterrupted time with senior executives, key clients, and potential partners in a relaxed and informal setting. Whether you're a seasoned player or just looking to enjoy a day on the fairways, the tournament provides a unique platform for high-level conversation and relationship-building.
Spaces are limited and fill up quickly. Be sure to add this to your registration.
The CRU Annual Pickleball Tournament
Join the fastest-growing sport in the US! Back by popular demand, our pickleball tournament on Sunday, 25 October offers a fun, energetic, and highly social way to break the ice and connect with fellow delegates. It’s accessible to all skill levels, making it easy for everyone to join in the friendly competition. It’s more than just a game; it’s a chance to network in a dynamic and memorable way.
Morning Running Club
Start your conference days with energy and focus. Join fellow early risers for the Running Club at 7:30 am on Monday and Tuesday, sponsored by Solumet. This is a fantastic, informal way to meet other delegates, clear your head before the sessions begin, and take in the sights of Fort Lauderdale. The conversations you have on the run can often be the most open and productive of the entire event.
Integrated Networking: Receptions, Lunches & Breaks
The heartbeat of the Summit is the continuous opportunity to connect. Our agenda is intentionally designed with dedicated time for you to follow up on conversations, schedule impromptu meetings, and build your network.
- Welcome & Evening Receptions: From the official Welcome Reception on Sunday (sponsored by IMS) to the End of Day 1 Reception (sponsored by CCMA), these gatherings are the perfect setting to unwind, debrief, and connect with the entire delegate base in a relaxed social atmosphere.
- Networking Lunches & Coffee Breaks: Far more than just a pause in the day, these are crucial touchpoints. Grab a premium coffee at the Barista Coffee Station (sponsored by Exotech) or host a conversation in the Networking Lounge (hosted by Aperam Recycling Advanced Metals). These breaks are your opportunity to turn a new contact into a valuable business relationship.
